A Little Bit About Me

Born in Maryland. Grew up in Virginia. Have lived in North Carolina. Ended up in Nashville, Tennessee.

I’ve been at this Web thing for 10 years now. People always ask about what I do, and about whether I like my job or not. I always say yes, and that the Web world is constantly changing, going through a fiber-optic, wireless…and mobile metamorphosis. So you have to adapt, and learn quickly. You also have to specialize in one or two things, not in everything. I read somewhere the other day that the record of the number of languages that one human being has spoken fluently is 28. Wow. If I could learn to code for the Web in 28 programming languages…I’d be a billionaire. But I’ve chosen the world of HTML/CSS – JavaScript. I’ve also been building custom CMS systems and designing interfaces for multiple devices over the past decade. Responsive web design changed everything for me in 2010. More recently; UX and the world of personas, prototyping, and products have captured my interest.

So that’s what I do. Do I like it, you ask? Yes, it’s a world-wide adventure. A world that’s rapidly changing (so make sure you keep up).
