Over the past 7 years, I have led our software team in the creation of over 200 customized international giving campaigns, working with clients like Avery Dennison, Boeing, Hilton, GoPro, Rubbermaid, Pepsi, and General Electric.
The fundraising app we created to launch these campaigns is called Giving Accelerator™. Building custom apps does require an investment of time and resources, but the level of customization and scalability you get back is highly valuable. We had to decide how to edit campaigns on the fly, how to change out branding variables per campaign, and keep the servers humming and the asset delivery happy for the end user.
In addition to connecting to multiple powerful payment gateways in the USA and the UK, we added app features quarterly to the product and created a mobile-friendly experience for informed users to give quickly. I was responsible for the design and documentation of the application.
We raised over $15 million in donations for notable charities at work around the world through our app.
